Speech Strategy by Indonesian Officials and Politicians in Debates on the Indonesia Lawyers Club YouTube Channel

In debating activities, especially political debates, a speaker does not always issue arguments in the same way. Sometimes conveys his ideas kindly and gently, sometimes with diction that seems to have negative connotations, even silent says nothing. Therefore, this study will analyze depth speech strategies produced by Indonesian officials politicians debate on YouTube channel. The method used is qualitative note-taking technique. source of research data was from event Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) Data analysis carried out through transcription interpretation spoken Brown Levinson. results showed an unceremonious strategy chime insubstantial unceremoniously opponents.
